Why Can't I see my students

Teacher: I don't see my students.

Sometime when a teacher logs in they can't see their students. There are a number of things that can cause this; we will list the most common reasons hear and how to address each one.

  • Student has not completed registration.
    1. Sign-in as a staff member or admin
    2. Click on Register menu and click Partially Registered
    3. Seach the various lists for your missing student.
    4. If your student is listed; they have not completed registration.
  • Student registered to the wrong teacher
    1. Sign-in as a staff member or admin
    2. Click on Students
    3. Search for missing student
    4. Verify that the correct teacher is selected
    5. If the correct teacher is not selected; then select the correct teacher and save changes
  • Teacher has multiple accounts
    1. Sign-in as a staff member or admin
    2. Click on Staff Tools and then click Directory
    3. Search for your teacher by name
    4. If you see that your teacher is listed more than once; then they have created duplicate accounts.
      1. To Fix this:
      2. Choose the account you want to remove and rename the name to XXX - Name
      3. Go to student page and update all students with the teacher of name XXX - Name so that they have the correct teacher selected
      4. Remove extra teacher account.
      • Make sure you don't have any fees or merchandise sold to the account you are removing.
      • Note when fixing this that promoted projects can't change their teacher; so you want to keep the promoted teacher account.
