Judging Rounds are a way to break up the competition in to manageable pieces and can each be set up with their own criteria, point value and rubric.

Creating & Editing Rounds

  1. From your Fair’s home page select / click on Judging on the menu bar and then click on Setup
  2. Select the Rounds sub-tab
  3. Click the Plus icon on the Add a New Round tile
    • For editing a round you would click the pencil icon on the round you would like to edit
  4. Name your round
  5. Give it a point Value from 0-100
  6. Indicate if this is a Sub Round
  7. Adjust how many times each project should be judged
  8. Indicate if you want Scheduled Interviews and adjust the settings to what is wanted for that
    1. Number of Minutes for each interview
    2. How much of a buffer you would like judges to have between each interview (for things like filling out rubrics, going place to place, etc.)
    3. Date and Time that Judging opens
    4. Judging Break start and end time for this round
    5. Date and Time that Judging ends
  9. What the Default Rubric you would like to have used for this round should be
    • NOTE: If left blank it will default to a rubric flagged as the Default Rubric set up during the Rubric Creation process
  10. Clicking save changes saves and creates your new round and lands you back on the Judging Rounds dashboard with a tile for your new Judging Round


Assigning Judges

  1. Navigate to the Judging Rounds dashboard
    • Judging -> Setup -> Rounds
  2. Click on the eye icon of the round you are wanting to Assign Judges for
  3. You will now find yourself on that round's Project and Judging dashboard with a Projects, Judges and Setup / Auto Assign Judges sub-tabs
  4. From there select the Setup / Auto Assign Judges sub-tab
  5. At the top you’ll see the section for Auto Assigning Judges for this round
  6. Pick the pool of judges you would like to assign to this round
  7. Pick the Judging Session to use
  8. Adjust how many times you would like each project judged with a minimum and maximum value
  9. Adjust how many projects at most each Judge will be reviewing
  10. Select the desired Project Mix
  11. Select the desired Division
  12. After setting everything up, click the Assign Judges button
  13. Review the Projects and Judges sub-tabs to make sure that everything looks good after Auto Assigning Judges
    • NOTE: You can also Clear Assignments, if wanted, back on the Setup / Auto Assign Judges sub tab by clicking on the Clear Assignments button.


Other Round Features

  1. Lower on the Setup / Auto Assign Judges sub-tab you’ll see:
    • Options for uploading a CSV file with a judging schedule you built
      • Included there are also downloadable starter sheets with Project ID and Judge ID information
    • An overview of the Projects, Judges and Categories applicable to this Round
