Start by going to Staff > Tags
To add a tag:
- Click Add in the top right corner.
- Select which type of tag you want:
• **Project:** This type of tag is assigned to the project/entry. Project tags can be helpful when filtering by the entry, such as in round setup. Project tags can also be identified during scoring.
• **'Person:** These types of tags are assigned to any user needed. Person tags are good to use to filter out/in specific judges in round setup and also to sort users in reports.
• **Auto:** These tags are automatically assigned as Person tags, but are set up using responses to registration questions. - Give the tag a name that will help you identify the information you need.
- Choose a color for the tag. You can leave it “not set” and it will be a grey colored tag.
- Add any notes if wanted (but it is not required to make a tag)
- Click Save. From here you have made a tag. If just doing a Project or Person tag, continue to Bulk Tags or to Assigning Tags. If making an Auto Tag, continue to the next step.
- After clicking save, new fields will appear to set the Auto tag. The following filters can be set or left blank. Only set one type of filter per tag.
• **System Tags:** These are tags associated with configurations and responses associated with them (i.e. Electrical outlet configuration setting the fee; auto tag assigned when fee is paid)
• **System Tag Value:** The response associated with the system setting (yes, no, true, false, etc.)
• **Auto Tag Settings:** These are associated with fields that appear in the registration. You can choose between “Missing Value” which means the user did not leave a response, or “Values Equals” which allows you to not only pick the field, but also to add the chosen response to that field if there can be multiple responses. Type in the needed response into the “Value When to Tag” field.
• **Auto Tag Settings (Custom Questions):** These work the same as the above auto tag settings, these instead will show any custom question you have set, and allow the tag to be applied to the missing response, or the value that you set. Use the “Value When to Tag” found in the Auto Tag Settings (Values Equals) section. - Save. Tags will be automatically applied even if the registration has already been finished. Auto tags will not work if the response from the registration is deleted. They also will not work if you name the tag the same as another.
