- Judging Rounds are a way to break up the competition in to manageable pieces and can each be set up with their own criteria, point value and rubric.
- You can also check out the video tutorial on Judging Rounds on Youtube
Creating & Editing Rounds
- From your Fair’s home page select / click on Judging on the menu bar and then click on Setup
- Select the Rounds sub-tab
- Click the Plus icon on the Add a New Round tile
- For editing a round you would click the pencil icon on the round you would like to edit
- Name your round
- Give it a point Value from 0-100
- Indicate if this is a Sub Round
- Adjust how many times each project should be judged
- Indicate if you want Scheduled Interviews and adjust the settings to what is wanted for that
- Number of Minutes for each interview
- How much of a buffer you would like judges to have between each interview (for things like filling out rubrics, going place to place, etc.)
- Date and Time that Judging opens
- Judging Break start and end time for this round
- Date and Time that Judging ends
- What the Default Rubric you would like to have used for this round should be
- NOTE: If left blank it will default to a rubric flagged as the Default Rubric set up during the Rubric Creation process
- Clicking save changes saves and creates your new round and lands you back on the Judging Rounds dashboard with a tile for your new Judging Round

- This will assign out based on judging category preferences and if possible avoid assigning any other projects to judges that is not one of their selected category preferences. If a project is not being judged enough times and there are no more judges for that category it will then grab a judge from a different category to make sure the project is judged enough times. This will stick to category preferences as much as possible and then spread out the remaining projects evenly among judges.
- Single Category (No Mix)
- This will only assign based on a judge's category preferences but projects may not end up with enough judges judging them.
- Mixed Category
- This will assign projects to judges regardless of what they have set as their preferences so that each project is guaranteed to be judged the minimum number of times specified. This will spread out the projects evenly among all the judges.
- Single Category (Mixed Avoid)
- Select the desired Division
- After setting everything up, click the Assign Judges button
- Review the Projects and Judges sub-tabs to make sure that everything looks good after Auto Assigning Judges
