Overview

The Entry Types feature allows you to create different types of entries for your event. Each entry type you configure can have its own Project ID format, Description, Number of Allowed Entries of this type, Fee, Whether or Not Paperwork needs submitted, Whether or Not it uses the ISEF Wizard, Forms and Categories. This is the master on and off for this feature and Entry Type sub-features will not work if this config is disabled.

Entry Types is a unique feature in that it is either on or off and then all of the other sub-features for this feature are found inside other features, with the one exception of Allowing Multiple Entries.

The main things to be aware of are:

  • Entry Type Manager
  • Start here once you've enabled this feature so you can set up and configure the Types of Entries participants are allowed to submit.
  • This is found under the Staff menu dropdown when this feature is enabled. You will need to refresh the page to see it if you just recently turned on this feature.
  • Paperwork Manager
  • This feature is separate from Entry Types but once Entry Types are enabled you can configure your forms to be specific to the entries you have configured. This will make it so that form only shows up for the applicable Entry Type and is hidden from other entry types.
  • Registration
  • This is also a completely separate feature but once you have enabled Entry Types, Participants will see the options to submit the various entry types during registration.
  • Multiple Entries
  • This is a sub-feature of Entry Types and allows participants to submit as many Entries of any given type based on what you have configured for those entries.
  • When this is enabled, participants will have a different Entry Tab in their Profile where they will need to select which project they want to work with before they can then go in and edit the information for that project or upload paperwork for that project.

Steps

1. Enable Custom Entry Types
