We always advise refreshing before new registrations. The setting '''Archive Before Date''' removes participants and other selected user accounts created before a date you choose. Pick a date before the first new account (sort People by “Newest”). This setting is in the Refresh/Archiving branch — research the date before you start.

You can keep all accounts of a user type '''except participants'''. Participant accounts and scores are always fully removed during archiving (unless using Archive Before Date).

You cannot pick individual accounts to keep during archive. Manually delete unwanted accounts from the People page instead. If you must keep some of a type, turn off archiving for that type and delete the rest manually. You can also temporarily change roles of users you need to keep, then change them back after archive.
